News: New loan program to open door to career in Electric Line Technician field through Durham Tech
Durham Tech students in the College’s Electric Line Technician program will now have the opportunity to apply for zero percent interest loans to cover living expenses and course costs.
News: 60 for 60: Since first travel abroad trip in 2005, Durham Tech students have seen the world
In 2005, Durham Technical Community College offered its first travel abroad opportunity for students.

The group traveled to Santiago, Chile, to visit Nobel Prize-winning poet Pablo Neruda’s home. Participants had the chance to take culture classes, Spanish classes, learn about the country’s geography and history.

Since then, students and faculty at the College have traveled to Central and South America, the Caribbean, Europe, and Africa on various trips.
Chemists
Conduct qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses or experiments in laboratories for quality or process control or to develop new products or knowledge.
Exercise and Sports Science
Students who wish to pursue a bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sports Science should complete the Associate in Arts (AA) degree which will transfer to all UNC System schools, most North Carolina independent colleges and universities, and most out of state institutions.
RSVP
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Durham County (RSVP) is a National Service Senior Corps project. RSVP volunteers serve with nonprofit and public agencies to help meet critical community needs.
