Durham Technical Community College was notified last week of its approval to participate in the NASA High Altitude Student Platform – or HASP project – for a second consecutive year.
The Associate in Applied Science (AAS) curriculum prepares students to design, create, and modify websites; analyze user needs to implement website content and graphics; and to convert graphic components to compatible web formats.

Since moving to Durham at 14, Gracie Johnson-Lopez has witnessed Durham’s growth and progression.
"I experienced the segregated Durham, the manufacturing-to-industrialized Durham and the relentless Durham which refuses to settle,” she said. “I love the ways in which Durham continues to evolve and its rich history and diverse culture.”
Durham also was home to the educational institutions that put Johnson-Lopez on the path to becoming founder and president of Diversity & HR Solutions.

Thanks to the generosity of private donors, Durham Technical Community College is able to provide awards to our students each year. This award honors the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and commemorates his dedication to equality and justice through non-violent resistance.
