News: Three Durham Tech students selected for prestigious Goodnight Scholars program at NC State
The morning of April 28 is one that Haley Attix, Haleema Begum, and Amber Parker won’t soon forget. A representative from the Goodnight Scholars program at NC State University called to share the verdict.
News: Celebrating Betty Lyons: 43 years of making a difference at Durham Tech 
Betty Lyons, director of Adult Basic Education, is emotional when she talks about leaving her career of 43 years behind, tearing up as she talks about the students she has worked with over the years. She started in July of 1980 as a part-time GED instructor. Later, then-President Phail Wynn, who was hard to say no to, according to Lyons, asked her to take on Compensatory Education. It was a role she was initially apprehensive about, but ultimately found extremely rewarding and stayed in the position about 10 years. 
Phage Hunters Lab
This discovery-based undergraduate research course is a unique and challenging experience for motivated Durham Tech students. The course is a national experiment sponsored by the Howard Hughes Medical Research Institute and space is limited to 18 students each year.
Facility Services
The Facility Services Department provides maintenance, housekeeping, landscaping, shipping/receiving, and mail services for the college facilities in both Durham and Orange counties.

Post-Baccalaureate Degree Course Options
If you have a bachelor's degree and would like to enroll in Durham Tech to complete prerequisites for graduate or professional school, review these guidelines for visiting students with a bachelor's degree.
Business, Accounting, Management, and Marketing
Students who ultimately wish to complete a baccalaureate of arts degree at a four-year college or university would complete the Associate in Arts (AA) degree. Students in this program develop foundational knowledge particularly in business, English, fine arts, foreign languages, history, philosophy, psychology, or sociology.
News: Durham Tech Foundation appoints Roxanne Miller as new Vice President and Chief Institutional Advancement Officer
Durham Technical Community College announced Tuesday the hiring of Roxanne Miller as the incoming Vice President and Chief Institutional Advancement Officer who will lead the Durham Tech Foundation. Miller currently serves as the Senior Director of Development at the Wake Tech Foundation.

As Vice President and Chief Institutional Advancement Officer, Miller will be responsible for guiding Durham Tech’s institutional advancement efforts to achieve the College’s strategic priorities and institutional goals. The Durham Tech Foundation provides opportunities for investments from the community to assist the College in meeting its most critical institutional and instructional needs. The Foundation engages with corporate, foundation, and individual donors to directly impact student success, employee development, program and facility enhancements, and other advancement needs.
Business Administration - Business Core Certificate
Gain core business skills and knowledge such as business law and economics in this business certificate program.
IT Service and Support AAS
The IT Service and Support Associate in Applied Science (AAS) program curriculum prepares students to support computer hardware and software; provide user instruction or training; and implement procedures for system maintenance.
