Training and support with short-term courses that provide our community with skillsets needed for jobs and later offer opportunities to Durham Tech’s guided pathways.
Early Childhood Education - Infant/Toddler Care Certificate
The Infant/Toddler Care curriculum prepares individuals to work with children from infancy to three years of age in diverse learning environments.
Information Technology - Web Development
The Associate in Applied Science (AAS) curriculum prepares students to design, create, and modify websites; analyze user needs to implement website content and graphics; and to convert graphic components to compatible web formats.
Information Technology - Network Management
The Network Security Associate in Applied Science (AAS) program curriculum prepares students to install, configure, and support an organization’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems; analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing network systems; and plan, implement, upgrade, or monitor security measures for the protection of computer networks and information.

Placement Testing
The Durham Tech Testing Center offers a variety of student assessment services and is located in the Phail Wynn, Jr. Student Services Center (Building 10), room 10-300, including New Students Placement Testing.
Financial Aid for Continuing Education
The following financial aid opportunities are available for students pursuing Continuing Education courses.
Cosmetology (Continuing Education)
The Cosmetology Continuing Education course prepares students with skills such as hair and scalp treatments, haircutting, hairstyling, skin care, manicuring, pedicuring, and hair coloring.

News: 60 for 60: U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris spoke at Durham Tech on importance of pathways to careers, tours apprenticeship program
Vice President of the United States Kamala Harris and U.S. Secretary of Labor Marty Walsh spoke about the importance of apprenticeships, pathways to careers, and economic mobility at Durham Technical Community College on Wednesday.

The speech followed a tour of the William G. Ingram Center for Learning and Applied Technology with demonstrations from an electrical apprenticeship partnership with the Raleigh-Durham Electrical Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC).
