Donate Books for Kids! The Library and Center for College and Community Service are co-sponsoring a Book Drive for local nonprofit, Book Harvest, that began Monday and runs through Friday, April 1st. Book Harvest collects new and gently used children's books for triangle families who need them. Collection bins are located in the library on Main Campus and at the Orange County Campus, as well as in the Food Pantry, Phillips Building, room 310C. Book Harvest needs books for young children

Are you participating in the library's Read Great Things Challenge 2019? Do you need suggestions for books about immigration? Here are some recent books, both nonfiction and fiction, that explore immigration and the immigrant and refugee experience. These are now available in the library collection.
Are you taking chemistry and need practice building your own molecules? Both Main and Orange County Campus now have molymod Organic and Molecular Geometry kits available for in-library checkout and use. Stop by the circulation desks for more information.
The library discovered a neat new tool called the North Carolina Literary Map, which is a free resource produced by the University Libraries at UNC Greensboro in collaboration with the North Carolina Center for the Book. The NC Literary Map identifies North Carolina places associated with more than 3000 writers and more than 4700 of their books with an interactive online tool that is designed to foster interest in the state’s rich literary tradition. Durham Tech's chapter of NCPIRG Students is sponsoring an Open Education Meet & Greet today, on the main campus, in room 2-159. Instructors are invited to stop in and explore Open Textbook options, share best practices, and enjoy light refreshments.

We now have two great online guides for finding movies in the library's collection. One guide is for browsing titles by movie genre such as Action, History, Sports, etc... and the other is an alphabetical listing of films in our collection.
