In Memoriam: Toni Morrison, 1931-2019
“We die. That may be the meaning of life. But we do language. That may be the measure of our lives.” On Monday, August 5, 2019, author, editor, and teacher Toni Morrison passed away. Morrison was nearly 40 when her first book, The Bluest Eye, was published. Book Drive for Book Harvest
Donate Books for Kids! The Library and Center for College and Community Service are co-sponsoring a Book Drive for local nonprofit, Book Harvest, that began Monday and runs through Friday, April 1st. Book Harvest collects new and gently used children's books for triangle families who need them. Collection bins are located in the library on Main Campus and at the Orange County Campus, as well as in the Food Pantry, Phillips Building, room 310C. Book Harvest needs books for young children

Are you participating in the library's Read Great Things Challenge 2019? Do you need suggestions for books about immigration? Here are some recent books, both nonfiction and fiction, that explore immigration and the immigrant and refugee experience. These are now available in the library collection.

This database offers job and industry profiles, job hunting and workplace skills, career exploration and industry resources all in many formats, from streaming video to chat. If you want, you can create a personal login and save content to your own folder. Use the link from  the Library’s Articles, Journals, and Databases box on the library homepage (F for Ferguson's) and log in off-campus by using your Durham Tech username and password--the same one you would use for Sakai or Self-Service.
