News: Durham Tech to co-host NC Teaching & Learning Hub for regional community college training
Durham Technical Community College will serve as a regional community college teaching and learning center dedicated to training and developing instructors and improving student success.

In September 2021, The Belk Center at NC State, Achieving the Dream, and the North Carolina Student Success Center – three non-profit organizations dedicated to providing support and resources for community college leadership – launched the North Carolina Teaching & Learning Hubs.

The hubs will provide institutional support for faculty to develop evidence-based practices that are essential to student success and credential completion. Full-time and part-time faculty and staff educators will have the opportunity to participate in virtual, in-person, and hybrid workshops and seminars that lead to more equitable student outcomes.
News: Durham Tech produces craft projects to service community needs
Since January, Durham Tech students and volunteers have been sewing, cutting, and tying plastic bags, fabric, and other materials to produce three different products for three different community needs.
These projects are running the gamut. Students are helping produce port pillows for chemotherapy patients and blankets for children at area hospitals and shelters and were part of creating sleeping mats for Durham’s homeless population.
The port pillows and blankets are still in progress. The sleeping mats have been completed and delivered.
News: Durham Tech among 16 colleges selected nationwide to pilot program to improve economic outcomes 
Achieving the Dream has announced its inaugural national cohort of 16 colleges, including Durham Tech, for a national pilot program that will improve outcomes on their campuses and in their communities by enhancing economic opportunity, reducing poverty, and engaging with underserved populations. 
CARES Act Funds
Eligible students may receive CARES Act funds to offset expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The funds are meant to help pay bills, obtain food, and provide for your families during these difficult times.
