Small Business Center logo with a lighthouse and Durham Technical Community CollegeThe Small Business Center (SBC) at Durham Tech provides startup and existing entrepreneurs (for profit and nonprofit) with the information and tools needed to develop business ideas to become viable, sustainable, profitable, and successful. Through the services provided by the the SBC, entrepreneurs receive assistance with several business areas including, but not limited to, business planning, marketing, legal, accounting, and financial management.

The SBC offers the following services at little or no cost:

  • Training and technical assistance in starting a business or developing business ideas;

  • Business skills seminars, webinars, and workshops;

  • One-on-one confidential counseling sessions to help develop a business plan or address business needs; and

  • A resource center with business books, magazines, and other literature.
