The temporary pedestrian walkway connecting the north and south areas of Main Campus will be closed beginning today, Tuesday, August 19, 2025, to address inconsistencies with ADA compliance. During this time, access across campus will be available through the original walkway that led to Building 10 that is close to the Lawson Street bus stop. This walkway will remain open while modifications are completed.
Student Occupational Therapy Association (SOTA)
SOTA is a nonprofit, student-run organization that promotes occupational therapy through community service, public relations, fundraising, and campus activities. It provides fellowship among students and faculty, educational opportunities through community service activities, and leadership opportunities within the organization.
This year, SOTA is opening its doors to prospective Durham Tech occupational therapy assistant students. Membership is a great opportunity to meet current students in the program, learn more about the club, and get involved in the community. As of January 2025, SOTA dues are $20 per year, paid by February 28. Students who join in the Fall semester will pay pro-rated dues of $10. If finances are a barrier to participation, please contact the Club Advisor for scholarship information.
