Early Childhood Education Credit by Examination
Credit by Examination is currently available for EDU-119. The exam must be taken within the first 5 days of the semester.
Eligible students who wish to apply for ECE Credit by Examination must:
- Notify your instructor immediately upon registering that you are interested in earning Credit By Examination
- Obtain and complete a Credit by Examination Application from your instructor; schedule a time to complete the exam (must be completed in-person or during a live, virtual session)
- Bring your completed application to the Student Information and Records Office in the Wynn Center (Building 10) on the second floor; staff will sign and stamp your application for approval
- Bring your signed and stamped application with you to your scheduled exam session or, if your session is virtual, submit your application to your instructor at least one day before your exam session
- Exam Overview
The exam is computer-based and graded automatically upon submission. Students will be notified if they passed by the end of the exam session.
The exam consists of 100 questions and must be completed in 75 minutes; no supporting materials are permitted during the exam. A score of 85% is required to pass.
- Please arrive for the exam on time. If you arrive late for the exam, you will need to reschedule.
- Exams can only be taken once. Students who do not pass their exam must complete their course to earn credit.
If you pass:
- Do not drop the course; you need to be on the course roster to receive grade of CE
- Your instructor will be notified that you will receive a grade of CE
