It's Time for Fall Crafternoons!

Submitted by Durham Tech Library on

Mark your calendars! It's time for another semester of fun Crafternoon events!

Held on both our Main Campus and our Orange County Campus, Crafternoons are opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to take a minute to make something with others from their Durham Tech community.

Come craft with your Durham Tech community on the Main Campus and Orange County Campus.

Fall 2026 Crafternoon Schedule

August brings notebook or agenda decorating. Want to collage a cover? Use stickers, magazines, and scrapbook paper to customize a notebook for your academic or personal thoughts.

September is buttons, magnets, and keychains for some quick fun.

October is time for fashion-remixing with iron on vinyl and fabric patches. Bring a favorite jacket, bag, or clothing item to customize with us. The Main Campus event will be held in the Newton Makerspace.

Last but certainly not least, we'll make watercolor and mixed media cards in December.

As always, all events are open to everyone. No previous experience is necessary, but a willingness to learn and do potentially new things is encouraged. No craft shaming for yourself or others-- we're here to try and learn.

This event is co-sponsored by the Library and Viva the Arts through a grant from the Eichholz Foundation.
