As we all know, students who don't have access to the technology they need to do their school work are at a disadvantage in their classes. A smartphone is useful, but it's hard to complete a lot of coursework on a phone. And typing papers? No good. The Library has partnered with Durham Tech Student Engagement to loan laptops to student for the Fall

READsearcher is a new service the Durham Tech Library is offering where we give you personalized book recommendation based on your answers to a few painless questions. You can find the link on the library homepage under 'Forms.' We are excited to offer this new service and look forward to helping all of you find your next book!

New look, new layout, new books!

If we don't have something you need, we can probably get it! As great a collection as we have, Durham Tech Library doesn't have ALL the books we'd love to have. With the funding we receive, we try to purchase books most needed to support courses being taught at the college, but we can't buy everything that we want and that our very diverse users would like. Even if a book isn't in our immediate collection, though, we might still be able to get access to it, so if you don't see a book you want

We have a white board set up in the library to collect feedback about your library experiences. You can also use this blog to share your opinions. It’s close to time for exams, but the library has another kind of testing already going on. We’re trying out new chat software that lets us IM with students, faculty, or anyone else who needs assistance.
