Omnigraphics Health Reference Sourcebooks provide authoritative ebooks on consumer health topics with unlimited simultaneous user access. Book topics include: Autism Spectrum Disorders, Cancers, Depression, Diabetes, Sleep disorders, Stroke, and many other health topics.

EBSCO’s Exploring Race in Society Databasecontains essays that provide a deeper understanding of how current issues stem from actions and policies of the past.
Each topic includes an overview article and three essays suggesting potential solutions. Topics include: Affirmative Action, Black Lives Matter Movement, Environmental Justice, Neighborhood Gentrification, Police Use of Force, Voter Rights and Voter Suppression, and many others.

UniversalClass: Online Courses and Continuing Education is a database with professional development and personal enrichment learning opportunities that hosts full-length courses and offers continuing education certificates upon successful completion.
Course topics include Crafts and Hobbies, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Office Skills, Psychology, Self-Help, Web Development, and much more.
Durham Tech students and employees will need a Durham Tech library card number in order to access this database. This can be obtained with a Durham Tech ID card at our Main Campus Library or Orange County Campus Library locations. You can read more about this great resource in a previous blog post.

Are you using Duolingo’s free app but wanting to try more robust language learning activities? Whether you’re starting at the very beginning with learning a new alphabet or you’re an intermediate learner looking to enhance your vocabulary and grammar knowledge, Transparent Language Online can help. This resource has pronunciation practice, speech analysis, grammar, writing activities, and vocabulary-building activities.
It also includes English (ESL) materials for native speakers of 30+ languages. This extensive language-learning program works on a computer or mobile device through a web browser or mobile app.
