These teachers are encouraged to stimulate physical, mental, and social development through methods like games, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling. They also teach basic knowledge such as colors and shapes and help the child understand social skills and personal hygiene.
The Early Childhood Education program at Durham Tech allows aspiring teachers to interact with children while learning how to foster various facets of a child’s development. Upon completion, the graduate will understand how to work with children from birth through the age of 8.
