News: Year after Novo Nordisk’s $6 million gift to Durham Tech, partnership continues to grow
In January 2023, leading global healthcare company Novo Nordisk donated $6 million to Durham Tech, the largest corporate gift in the College’s history. In the year since the landmark gift, the partnership between Novo Nordisk and the College is already delivering results and creating a clear pathway for students interested in entering the biotechnology field.
Pharmacy Technology Program Information Sessions
Join us for an in-depth look into the Pharmacy Technology programs offered at Durham Tech. All 2020 fall programs will be 100% online for the fall semester. In addition, you will learn about career opportunities and salary, the job outlook, characteristics and special skills of pharmacy technicians, and admission and prerequisite criterion.
Leadership in the Public Sector
Students who ultimately wish to complete a baccalaureate science degree at NCSU's Leadership in the Public Sector program would complete the Public Safety Administration Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree.
Machining (Continuing Education)
Continuing Education welding courses prepare students for employment in construction and in artistic sculpture and metalwork.
News: Durham Tech, Kate’s Korner offer free six-month part-time childcare services beginning January 31
Durham Technical Community College and Kate’s Korner Education Services are partnering to provide free part-time childcare services and after-school care on the College’s main campus this spring. 

Drop-in services will be offered to 60 children beginning January 31 through June. The program focuses on access and affordability while delivering a high-quality project-based curriculum. 

The drop-in services will allow children to attend the morning or afternoon program five days a week. This allows students who attend Durham Tech the opportunity to complete class requirements and study without the worry of care for their children.
News: Durham Tech announces affordable housing initiative near Main Campus
Durham Technical Community College announced plans on Tuesday for a 124-unit affordable housing development on South Briggs Avenue near its Main Campus. The development is intended to serve both eligible students at Durham Tech and members of the broader Durham community.

During a news conference event in the Phail Wynn Jr. Student Services Center, Durham Tech President J.B. Buxton called the housing initiative “transformative” for Durham Tech students and Durham residents who need affordable housing options in the region.
News: Durham Tech partners with NC MedAssist to provide free over-the-counter medicine to students
NC MedAssist is partnering with Durham Technical Community College to provide students with free over-the-counter medicine. Such items include cough and cold medicine, vitamins, allergy medication, first aid supplies, etc. This partnership comes at a crucial time, when remaining healthy and stopping the spread of germs is more essential than ever.
