University Transfer Options

Durham Tech has partnered with NC State University to develop a bilateral transfer agreement from an Public Safety Administration Associate in Applied Science (AAS) to Bachelor of Arts (BA).

Public Safety Administration Associate in Applied Science (AAS)

The Public Safety Administration (PSA) program allows working professionals to build a strong foundation in emergency management systems at federal, state, and local levels. The PSA curriculum is designed to provide students, as well as practitioners, with knowledge and skills in the technical, managerial, and administrative areas necessary for entrance or advancement within various public safety organizations.

The bilateral agreement provides the flexibility for students to seamlessly transfer to NC State University. he agreement will allow students to transfer from Durham Tech to NC State as a sophomore in their Leadership in the Public Sector (LPS) online bachelor’s degree program. US News & World Report ranked LPS as #10 in the Nation of Best Online Bachelor Programs.

Durham Tech’s Public Safety Administration program allows students to earn a minimum of 64 credit hours. NC State allows 48 of those credit hours to transfer towards the 120 hours required for the program coursework.
