Durham Technical Community College is governed by a Board of Trustees. Four trustees are appointed by the Durham County Board of Commissioners; eight trustees are appointed by the General Assembly; two trustees are appointed by the Orange County Board of Commissioners; and one trustee, who shall serve as an ex officio, non-voting member, by virtue of their election as the College’s Student Government Association President.

Classes are held at the Northern Durham Center campus as well as individual fire departments. Training help within local fire departments enables personnel to develop and enhance skill levels with the equipment they use in controlling fires.
Policies and Procedures Manual: Durham Technical Community College welcomes individuals who wish to enroll in courses for self-enrichment and without the opportunity to receive a grade, academic/transfer credit, continuing education units, or certificate of completion.
On Dec. 4, Durham Tech celebrated the life and legacy of prolific artist Elizabeth Reeves Lyon with an opening reception of “A Layered Legacy” art exhibit featuring her work in the D. Thomas Jaynes Gallery on Main Campus. The exhibit is on display until January 31.
