Proficiency Certificate for Teacher Assistants
The WorkKeys® Proficiency Certificate for Teacher Assistants provides a valid, field proven way to boost elementary education in the United States, in accordance with the No Child Left Behind Act. Based on ACT's WorkKeys system, the certificate program takes a four-pronged approach.
CARES Act Funds
Eligible students may receive CARES Act funds to offset expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The funds are meant to help pay bills, obtain food, and provide for your families during these difficult times.
Project SIGHT
Project SIGHT provides free prescription eyewear to children and adults of underinsured/low-income households in Durham County.
News: Durham Tech program first in state chosen for UNC-based project
Durham Technical Community College will be the first in North Carolina to participate in a project based at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to better prepare early childhood education professionals across the state.
Electrical or Electronics Repairers, Commercial and Industrial Equipment
Also called Control Technicians or Electrical Maintenance Technicians, they repair, test, adjust, or install commercial and industrial electronic equipment, such as industrial controls, transmitters, and antennas.
Paid Parental Leave
Policies and Procedures Manual: In order to assist and support employees in balancing work and family obligations, the College will provide eight weeks of Paid Parental Leave to eligible employees.
Power of Us
Through the Power of Us program, Durham Tech seeks to recruit, support, and retain more female or female-identifying students to a targeted set of Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.
