Middle College High School opened its doors on Durham Tech's Main Campus in Fall 2005. The new high school was a collaborative effort among Durham Public Schools, Chapel Hill/Carrboro City Schools and Orange County Schools. She later returned to Yale, finished her dissertation, and became a leader in her field. She became an historian, writer, and professor.
