Food and Nutrition Services Training Program
The Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) voluntary program provides education and training opportunities along with job search strategies that lead to sustainable employment. The program is a collaboration between Durham Technical Community College and Orange County Department of Social Services.
Electronic Signature
Policies and Procedures Manual: In an effort to increase efficiency and ensure secure processes when faculty, staff, and student signatures are required, the college allows electronic signatures to be used when certain conditions are met and related procedures are followed.

High School Equivalency Testing
The High School Equivalency test is based on high school curriculum standards and certifies mastery in four parts: literacy, social studies, science, and math. Testing is for Durham and Orange county residents.

Policies and Procedures Manual: Academic freedom is defined as an individual’s right to engage in intellectual debate, research, speech, or written or electronic correspondence, on and off campus, without fear of censorship, retaliation, or sanction.
News: Early data show that eight-week courses improve student success rates
Following the transition of the majority of Durham Tech courses to eight-week terms instead of 16 weeks to improve student retention and success, the initial data show positive results.
News: Summer camp keeps local students’ skills sharp during break
Danielle Dourson admits that she would often forget what she had learned during the school year while she was on summer break.
Dourson was one of the Durham Technical Community College students who helped the children of McDougald Terrace keep their math, reading, and science skills sharp this summer during the Summer Fun Camp. The weekly camp began June 25 and ran until Aug. 3.
