During the student activities trip to Washington, DC last week, several students participating in the Global Distinction Program took an afternoon to learn about policy making with a special visit to the Migration Policy Institute (MPI). MPI is a non-partisan, non-profit think tank dedicated to researching issues of migration around the world.
Dr. Christy Walker, Director of Career Services at Durham Tech, received the Roy N. Anderson Award at the North Carolina Career Development Association annual conference on October 11 at Meredith College.
Since 1993, the Durham Tech Foundation has led the annual employee giving campaign known as the Campus Fund Drive. Every dollar raised goes directly to support students and staff through the Campus Harvest Food Pantry, emergency financial assistance, employee engagement and appreciation, professional development, and student scholarships.
