There should be another word for cookbooks that are only recipes for baked desserts. Bakebooks? Dessertbooks? Bakertbooks? We can workshop it later. If we don't have something you need, we can probably get it! As great a collection as we have, Durham Tech Library doesn't have ALL the books we'd love to have. With the funding we receive, we try to purchase books most needed to support courses being taught at the college, but we can't buy everything that we want and that our very diverse users would like. This book was read by Courtney Bippley who is a Reference Librarian at the Main Campus Library. Why did you choose to read this book? I’m doing the POPSUGAR reading challenge this year so I read this book to fulfill the steampunk novel requirement. What did you like about it? I enjoyed the main character who, unmarried, is considered to be a spinster but never lets that stop her from doing what she wants. She is a heroine who is very direct in thought, speech, and action, which is refreshing

Durham Technical Community College held Commencement Exercises on Wednesday, May 24, at the Durham Performing Arts Center, with 305 students graduating with degrees, diplomas or certificates in the 2022-23 school year.
Former Board of Trustees member Dr. Wanda J. Garrett, a longtime Durham resident and highly regarded community leader, received an Honorary Associate of Arts degree at the college’s Commencement on May 24, 2023, in recognition of her service to Durham Technical Community College and the community.
