Carolina Student Transfer Excellence Program (C-STEP or CSTEP) is a partnership between Durham Technical Community College and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The goal of C-STEP is to identify high-achieving, low-to moderate-income students who would not otherwise attend a selective college or university.

The Associate in Engineering (AE) is intended for students who ultimately wish to complete a baccalaureate engineering degree within four years. AE curriculum courses focus on engineering but the degree also includes general education offerings that emphasize the development of analytical skills, written and oral communication, and competencies in math and science.
Policies and Procedures Manual: Employees, students, visitors, and contractors are prohibited from using tobacco products at any time on college property as well as on any spaces where college-sponsored or college-related activities are held, including during non-instructional and non-service hours.
The Durham Tech Cosmetology/Manicuring/Natural Hair Care Salon is open to the public to provide hair, nail, and makeup services at reduced prices. The clinic is staffed by Durham Tech students, and students complete 100 percent of the work.
