Classes offer practice in the four main language skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The classes are divided into levels for beginners, low intermediate, high intermediate, and advanced levels.
Students who ultimately wish to complete a baccalaureate fine arts degree (BFA or BAFA) at a four-year college or university should enroll in the Associate in Fine Arts (AFA) degree program.
When the Durham Technical Community College Foundation was established in 1984, its first priority was to raise funds to support students. In those early years, this effort was focused on securing sources of funding for scholarships. The Orange Board of County Commissioners approved its 2025-26 budget Tuesday, June 17, which reflects the commissioners’ strong support for public higher education.
