Central Sterile Processing Technicians serve surgeons by processing and assembling surgical instruments and supporting inventory in operating rooms. Upon completion of this course, students are able to apply the principles of sterilization and disinfection in the workplace as well as knowledge about distribution of instruments, supplies, and equipment.
The Complete Dentures Techniques certificate is comprised of three courses. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate an understanding of gnathalogical concepts and the fabrication of special types of removable restorations.
From now through Dec. 22, Durham Technical Community College is taking part in the fifth annual Collegiate Hunger Challenge, competing against 13 other colleges and universities. The challenge tackles food insecurity on college campuses and empowers students to create awareness around hunger as they compete to collect the most food for those experiencing hunger.
Middle College High School opened its doors on Durham Tech's Main Campus in Fall 2005. The new high school was a collaborative effort among Durham Public Schools, Chapel Hill/Carrboro City Schools and Orange County Schools. It was designed to allow students to work toward a high school diploma while earning academic credits toward an associate degree from Durham Tech, or to transfer to a four-year university.
Each year, Durham Tech recognizes outstanding employee performance by presenting excellence awards in three categories: Community Engagement, Support Services, and Teaching.
