News: Durham Tech to purchase Cooper Street property in Main Campus expansion
Durham Technical Community College will close later this month on property adjacent to Main Campus as a part of the College’s expansion. The Durham Tech Board of Trustees approved the purchase of 1551 Cooper Street at a June 16 meeting. The deal is expected to close July 15.
News: Durham Tech opens new location in downtown Durham Chesterfield Building
Durham Tech has launched a new downtown Durham location.
The Durham Tech Small Business Center and Corporate Education department is now housed in the redeveloped Chesterfield Building in the 700 block of West Main Street.
The new location officially opened with a reception on Tuesday, Dec. 4.
Music Performance
Students who ultimately wish to complete a baccalaureate of arts degree in Music Performance at a four-year college or university would complete the Associate in Arts (AA) degree.

When Shaneka Grimes majored in Public Health Education in college, she never expected to live through a global pandemic, but she explains public health is more than just COVID-19, it is a community-centered profession that cares for every sector of a person’s life.

Originally from Bronx, New York, Grimes moved to the Triangle on her ninth birthday because her mother wanted her children to have access to better educational opportunities.
