The Associate in Engineering (AE) is intended for students who ultimately wish to complete a baccalaureate engineering degree within four years. Durham Technical Community College is governed by a Board of Trustees. Four trustees are appointed by the Durham County Board of Commissioners; eight trustees are appointed by the General Assembly; two trustees are appointed by the Orange County Board of Commissioners; and one trustee, who shall serve as an ex officio, non-voting member, by virtue of their election as the College’s Student Government Association President.
