Student Government Association

The Student Government Association (SGA) at Durham Tech serves as the student body's liaison while working with college administration, faculty, and staff to improve the student experience.

SGA gives students a voice in decisions that affect their college life, and helps students build leadership and communication skills along the way.

Want to Participate?

SGA members serve as advocates for their fellow students, meeting once a month to discuss important issues. They represent the student body, share student concerns, and help shape college life. Along the way, students grow their own leadership abilities and gain hands-on experience working with others.

If you are interested in applying to the SGA, complete the application and recommendation form below:

You must be a current Durham Tech student and have at least six (6) credit hours to apply to serve on the SGA Executive Board. Application materials are due by 5:00 p.m. on September 11, 2026.
