Work-Based Learning

Durham Tech students have opportunities inside and outside the classroom to grow professionally and engage in hands-on learning experiences. Work-Based Learning (WBL) at Durham Tech pairs students with an employer in their area of study for a work experience designed to prepare them for a successful career.

Work-Based Learning is an extension of learning that takes place outside of the traditional classroom setting.  Students who enroll in WBL are paired with an employer in their area of study to engage in hands-on work experience designed to prepare them for the workforce. WBL students are given the opportunity to demonstrate their technical and employability or soft skills.
