Activate your Self-Service account and log into ConnectMail
At Durham Tech you are automatically assigned an official ConnectMail address after you have been accepted to the college once you have activated your account through WebAdvisor you will be able to log into your ConnectMail account for the first time. Your ConnectMail account is linked to your WebAdvisor, Self-Service, and Sakai accounts. To access your ConnectMail account you will use your WebAdvisor ID and password.
Step 1: Activate your Self-Service account. Use your Student ID number and Self-Service username to login.
Your Durham Tech user name is the first 15 characters of your last name + your first initial + the last 4 digits of your student ID number. User names do not contain spaces, hyphens, or other special characters.
Step 2: To access your ConnectMail account select the Current Students link at the top of any Durham Tech web page. Choose the ConnectMail orange box (top left) which takes you to the ConnectMail login screen. Enter your Durham Tech username and click on the Next button. Your ConnectMail email address is your firstname.lastname@example.org. On the next screen you will enter in the password you created when you activated your WebAdvisor/Self-Service account and then click on the Sign in button.
This is the official channel Durham Tech will use to correspond with students. You may notice that you already have several unread messages. You want to ensure you are checking your ConnectMail account frequently so you don't miss any important information from Durham Tech.
