Network and computer systems administrators ensure our computers and networks run optimally with a solid internet connection. They do so by installing, configuring, and supporting the user’s network and internet systems; doing necessary maintenance to support network availability; monitoring and testing website performance to make sure the sites are operating correctly; and performing data backups. They install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses and may assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.

The IT & Cloud Systems Administration Associate degree program at Durham Tech will teach you the basic skills needed to excel at this career. Students learn how to install, configure, and support an organization’s Internet-connected workstation and server systems; analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate software and service installations; and plan, implement, and monitor networking, compute, and storage.
