Financial Aid for Continuing Education
The following financial aid opportunities are available for students pursuing Continuing Education courses:
ConnectFund Grant
Covers tuition and fees up to $1,000 per year. Funded by the Durham Sales and Use Tax and are designed to assist individuals who need further education, career training, or retraining.
Continuing Education Equity by Design Tuition Plus (CEED+) Grant
Covers tuition cost, materials, and up to $250 for other expenses like textbooks, supplies, or technology.
Emergency Financial Assistance
Durham Tech provides financial assistance programs to support students in need of assistance with rent, utilities, car repairs, course-related expenses, and other emergencies.
Food and Nutrition Services Training Program
This program, in collaboration with Orange County Department of Social Services, provides education and training opportunities along with job search strategies that lead to sustainable employment.
Golden LEAF Scholarship
If you reside in a qualifying county and demonstrate financial need, you are eligible to apply for the Golden LEAF scholarship to use at Durham Tech!
I Have a Dream Award
Need-based scholarship offered to one curriculum and one continuing education student. Read more about the selection criteria and how to apply.
SECU Bridge to Career Program
Designed as a workforce education program to help remove financial barriers for students seeking to obtain state regulated or industry-recognized credentials.
Short-Term Workforce Development (STWD) Grant
Covers up to $750 towards the cost of tuition, fees, books, supplies, credentialing tests, transportation, childcare, and other components of the total cost of attendance for eligible courses.
