External Partners
Durham Tech is proud to be part of the North Carolina Teaching and Learning Hubs. The North Carolina Teaching & Learning Hubs were established through a partnership between the Belk Center, Achieving the Dream (ATD), and the NC Student Success Center with the mission of supporting faculty professional development throughout the State. The Teaching and Learning hubs were established to support the mission of student success across North Carolina.
Durham Tech is not only a member of the Central Hub but also serves as co-leader with Central Carolina Community College. We are happy to welcome our new Co-Director for the Central Hub, Dr. Jason Moldoff.
Dr. Moldoff graduated with a PhD in Journalism and Mass Communication from UNC Chapel Hill in 2010. Since then, he has taught Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication, Intro to Mass Comm, and Intro to Film at Durham Tech. He is a graduate of the North Carolina Community College Leadership Program. He serves as the Faculty Coach, working to improve student success in classrooms across the college. He received the Faculty Challenge Coin in 2021 and the Excellence in full-time Teaching Award in 2024. Dr. Moldoff is expected to advance the foundational work of our past Co-Director, Marye Vance.
The Central Hub has a shared mission of supporting affiliate colleges’ teaching and learning professional learning opportunities. This relationship is beneficial in bringing additional professional development opportunities to a long-established teaching and learning tradition here at Durham Tech.
The NC Teaching & Learning Central Hub affiliates are as follows: Wake, Johnston, Halifax, Alamance, Vance-Granville, Edgecombe, Wayne, Piedmont, Fayetteville, Pitt, Nash, Sandhills, and Wilson.
