Cambiando Caminos
Cambiando Caminos (Changing Paths) is a student-led, educational advocacy organization dedicated to strengthening the identity and presence of Latino students at Durham Tech.
News: Durham Tech Foundation named 2019 Bank of America Neighborhood Builder
Bank of America has selected Durham Technical Community College Foundation as one of this year’s two Neighborhood Builder award winners.
The Foundation will be awarded $200,000 over the next two years towards various projects undertaken by the Center for College and Community Service as well as leadership training.
Insurance (Continuing Education)
Insurance prelicensing courses prepare students to learn general terms and concepts associated with Life, Accident and Health/Sickness, and Medicare Supplement/Long-Term Care; policy provisions; options and various features; and NC statutes and regulations.
News: Durham Tech, UNC-Chapel Hill partner to offer Ukrainian language course
As part of a relationship with UNC-Chapel Hill and its Center for Slavic, Eurasian and East European Studies, Durham Tech now offers a Ukrainian language course.

“Durham Tech is part of a Title VI grant [from the Department of Education] awarded to the UNC-CH's Center for Slavic, Eurasian and East European Studies. The grant runs for four years, and the sub-award to Durham Tech amounts to more than $50,000 that can be used for instructional costs, speakers/events, library materials and curriculum development,” said David Long, dean of creative and liberal arts at Durham Tech.

News: 60 for 60: Durham Tech helps TROSA residents achieve academic goals as they ‘reclaim their futures’
Since 2003, Durham Tech has partnered with TROSA, a Durham-based nonprofit that empowers individuals with substance use disorders in the Triangle. The partnership provides Adult Basic Education classes to help TROSA residents further build their lives.

More than 100 TROSA participants have earned their GED through Durham Tech courses and many others have gone on to complete college degrees through the partnership.

“Community and connection are vitally important to TROSA and we are so fortunate to have a long-standing community partnership with Durham Tech,” said Keith Artin, President and CEO of TROSA. “For more than 25 years, TROSA has provided individuals with the time, tools, and resources to rebuild their lives and reclaim their futures.”

News: Former College Trustee James I. Bolden passes away at 100
Former Durham Tech Board of Trustees member James I. Bolden, an important figure in Durham Tech’s history and key contributor to improving opportunity and life outcomes for people across the region, died Feb. 20, 2025, at the age of 100.
FBLA-Collegiate
The organization's basic purpose is to provide opportunities for students to develop competencies for business occupations through an extension of the classroom.
