Former Durham Tech Board of Trustees member James I. Bolden, an important figure in Durham Tech’s history and key contributor to improving opportunity and life outcomes for people across the region, died Feb. 20, 2025, at the age of 100.
Durham Tech students and employees and community members gathered together on Feb. 28 to listen and learn about documentary poetry from North Carolina’s recently inducted poet laureate, Jaki Shelton Green.
Brandon Armani, a veteran and Durham Tech student since 2024, has been invited to attend the Chicago area Warrior-Scholar Project (WSP) Academic Bootcamp where he will have the opportunity to develop the skills, confidence and strategies needed to thrive in higher education. The bootcamp will be held at the University of Chicago and lasts seven days.
Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) courses prepare students for installation, repair, and maintenance of these systems. Heating technology is offered in the fall and air conditioning in the spring.
