Scholarships are a critical part of Durham Technical Community College’s overall strategy for student success. Many of the earliest gifts to the Durham Tech Foundation were designated for a general scholarship fund, with named scholarship funds following soon after. The first endowed scholarship at Durham Tech was established in 1988 by O’Brien Atkins Associates, PA for students enrolled in the Architectural Drafting program. Since then, 91 scholarships have been created — split evenly between endowed and annual awards.

Buxton and Wake Technical Community College President Scott Ralls in celebrating the $1.2 million Community Project Funding grant championed by Rep. Price to support the new workforce partnership between RTP Bio and the two colleges.

Four students in the Occupational Therapy Assistant program at Durham Tech spent six weeks transforming a courtyard for children with autism, which is used for play and socialization.
The Clinical Trials Research Associate program at Durham Technical Community College held its first class more than 20 years ago. At the time, such a program was a rare find.
The Accounting and Finance Associate in Applied Science (AAS) curriculum is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary for employment and growth in the accounting and finance profession.
Individuals who have completed a baccalaureate or graduate degree in biological science, chemistry, or an allied health area, or who have completed one year of employment in the clinical research field within the last five years, are eligible to enroll in the Clinical Research Core Competencies certificate program.
