University Transfer Degree Programs
Our University Transfer Degree Programs are designed for students who wish to complete the first two years of college coursework before transferring to a four-year college or university to earn a bachelor's degree.
To complete a university transfer degree, students must successfully complete 60 credit hours, including:
- 30 hours of Universal General Education Transfer Component (UGETC) courses
- 15 hours of General Education courses
- 15 hours of transferable elective courses
Course selection will vary based on a student’s intended major and the specific four-year institution to which they plan to transfer.

- Associate in Arts (AA)
The Associate in Arts (AA) is a two-year degree emphasizing coursework in business, English, fine arts, foreign languages, history, philosophy, psychology, or sociology.
This program is ideal for students interested in pursuing majors within the humanities or social sciences.
- Associate in Arts in Teacher Preparation (AATP)
The Associate in Arts in Teacher Preparation (AATP) prepares students for transfer to a four-year university to major in Education and pursue careers as elementary or middle school teachers.
This program is designed for students interested in teaching subjects within the social sciences and humanities.
- Associate in Science (AS)
The Associate in Science (AS) is a two-year degree focused on courses in biology, chemistry, engineering, geology, mathematics, or physics.
It is intended for students planning to pursue STEM-related majors at a four-year institution.
- Associate in Science in Teacher Preparation (ASTP)
The Associate in Science in Teacher Preparation (ASTP) is a two-year degree designed for students who plan to major in Education at a four-year university and become elementary or middle school teachers in science and mathematics fields.
- Associate in Fine Arts (AFA)
The Associate in Fine Arts (AFA) is for students intending to complete a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) or Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts (BAFA) at a four-year college or university.
This program emphasizes visual arts and includes general education courses to strengthen analytical skills, written and oral communication, and competencies in math and science.
- Associate in Engineering (AE)
The Associate in Engineering (AE) is designed for students planning to transfer and complete a bachelor’s degree in engineering at a four-year university.
The curriculum includes both engineering and general education courses to support strong foundational skills in communication, math, and science.
- Associate in General Education (AGE) – Nursing
The Associate in General Education (AGE) – Nursing is intended for students beginning their academic journey toward a bachelor's degree in nursing.
It provides a foundation for entry into Associate Degree Nursing programs and later transfer to a four-year institution.
- Associate in General Education (AGE)
The Associate in General Education (AGE) degree is designed for students who want to follow a structured academic curriculum but have no intention of pursuing a bachelor's degree.
This program is ideal for students who want to gain an associate degree for personal or professional goals, but do not intend to transfer to a four-year institution.
