Durham Tech held a celebration with community stakeholders Feb. 5, 2026, to mark construction getting underway on a 14,000-square-foot expansion of the Orange County Campus.
Innovate Carolina Junction
Durham Tech has partnered with UNC-Chapel Hill to have office and meeting space inside the Innovate Carolina Junction in downtown Chapel Hill. The Junction is home to the Orange County Office of Durham Tech's Small Business Center and serves as a hub for innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic development.

The Associate in Arts Teacher Preparation (AATP) prepares students who plan to transfer to a four-year university, major in Education and move into public teaching either as an elementary or middle school teacher.

Professional Development
All full-time and continuing part-time employees will participate in professional development annually as identified within the employee’s performance review and evaluation.
Student Fees
All curriculum students (credit programs) are charged a student administrative fee each fall, spring and summer semester. These funds support student clubs and social activities, computer and technology use, college parking and security, student ID cards, and accident insurance for students participating in college classes and functions.
University Transfer
University Transfer programs allow a student to complete up to two years of course work for a baccalaureate degree. The wide variety of freshman-level and sophomore-level courses satisfies general education requirements at senior institutions across the United States.
