The Information Technology - Cybersecurity curriculum prepares graduates for employment in the technology sector as information security analysts, security systems administrators, information security specialists, and other skilled security positions adept at safeguarding digital systems and information from cyber threats.
Artificial Intelligence Fundamentals Certificate
The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Fundamentals Certificate program prepares students for entry-level roles supporting artificial intelligence technologies in the IT sector. The program is designed for individuals seeking foundational knowledge of AI concepts and practical skills for working with AI-driven tools and systems.
Advanced EMT (Continuing Education)
This course is designed to prepare the student to meet the Advanced EMT credential level in order to work effectively in the chain of the healthcare team.
News: Durham Tech Promise provides up to $1,000 each year in free tuition to students
The new Durham Tech Promise program is making college more affordable – reducing tuition by as much as half for eligible students.
The program provides up to $1,000 each year for two years to eligible students. That means eligible in-state students who take a full-time 12-hour credit course load would only have to pay about half of the tuition.
News: 60 for 60: Newton Makerspace unveils STEM-centered collaboration space for students
In September 2022, the Newton Makerspace was unveiled on Main Campus -- made possible by a contribution from Newton Instrument Company. The need for the high-tech makerspace was identified in 2018 when college leadership recognized the increase in industrial trades and the need to attract more students into this growing field. This type of collaborative, project-based learning environment would mirror the workplace through innovation -- supporting students in engineering, skilled trades, construction, art, welding, and design. 
Natural Hair Care (Continuing Education)
The Natural Hair Care program is designed to teach how to care for natural hair without the use of chemicals such as perms/relaxers and hair color.
