Makerspace (Continuing Education)
Short Term
Students will also have access to the Newton Makerspace during regular operating hours for the duration of the course. Students can use that time to practice course skills, become more familiar with the equipment, and continue building confidence.
Makerspace Tools & Techniques
During this eight-week, hands-on course in the Newton Makerspace, you will develop beginner-level skills with CNC equipment, 3D printers, laser engraving, sewing machines, power tools, design, safety, and fabrication techniques. This course is designed to help beginners become comfortable with makerspace equipment and learn the foundational skills needed to pursue creative projects in the future.
