News: Durham Tech president wins Citizenship and Service Award
Durham Technical Community College President Dr. Bill Ingram received the Duke Energy Citizenship and Service Award during The Chamber for a Greater Chapel Hill-Carrboro 2020 annual meeting at The Carolina Club on Friday morning.
News: NCCU, Durham Tech announce guaranteed admission partnership to benefit transfer students
Durham Technical Community College and N.C. Central University announced Tuesday, Nov. 28, details of their Eagle Connect guaranteed admission program to enhance their transfer partnership and provide more supports for student success. The new guaranteed admission partnership is designed to make transferring more seamless for students who earn their associate degree from Durham Tech, then transfer to N.C. Central to complete their bachelor’s degree.
News: Novo Nordisk to support Durham Tech’s life sciences programs and new training center with $6 million gift
Novo Nordisk, a leading global healthcare company that produces innovative medicines to treat diabetes and rare blood disorders, announces a $6 million gift to Durham Technical Community College to support the College’s life sciences program and a new 35,000-square-foot Life Sciences Training Center. This donation was presented today at a news conference on Durham Tech’s Main Campus.

Work-Based Learning
Durham Tech students have opportunities inside and outside the classroom to grow professionally and engage in hands-on learning experiences. Work-Based Learning (WBL) at Durham Tech pairs students with an employer in their area of study for a work experience designed to prepare them for a successful career.
Newton Makerspace
The Newton Makerspace is a collaborative workspace that provides students and faculty at Durham Tech with access to specialized tools and equipment to turn their ideas into physical objects.
Reconnect Fund Award
The Reconnect Fund Award is for eligible students in Durham County younger than 25 who didn’t enroll in college directly after high school.
News: Three Durham Tech students named finalists for NC State Goodnight Scholars program
Haley Attix, Haleema Begum, and Amber Golden-Parker were notified earlier this month that they were among the 48 finalists for North Carolina State University’s prestigious Goodnight Scholars program – Transfer Class of 2024.
