Policies and Procedures Manual: Durham Technical Community College (Durham Tech) provides child involvement leave in an effort to promote employees’ involvement in youth education and support to schools.
Corporate Services offers continuing education and training to meet the needs of area businesses, industries, and other organizations. Staff also can provide assistance in doing workforce assessment.
Students who ultimately wish to complete a baccalaureate of arts degree in Communication Studies at a four-year college or university would complete the Associate in Arts (AA) degree.
In July 2006, the Dental Laboratory Technology program at Durham Tech was recognized by the National Association of Dental Laboratories as one of the Top Three Dental Educational Programs in the country.

The Durham County commissioners approved its 2025-26 budget this week, demonstrating once again their commitment to public higher education in Durham. The budget continues their support for the College’s Back to Work short-term workforce development scholarships, BULLS Life Sciences program, Durham Tech Promise scholarships, and apprenticeship opportunities. Our commissioners also provided an overall budget increase to address rising operational costs as well as funding county salary increases in line with estimated state budget salary increases.
Durham Technical Community College is committed to balance safety, accessibility, and equity as it continues to reopen services and teach classes this fall, the College said in its 2020 Fall Guidelines: Phase 2.1 Transition Plan released Friday.
