The Testing Center is located in the Wynn Center (Building 10), Room 10-300. Photo ID and Durham Tech Student ID number are mandatory. Please arrive no more than 10 minutes after the start time listed.

In-person Testing Guidelines

All students must apply to the College and provide both their student ID number and a photo ID in order to take the Placement Test. Please arrive on time. If you expect to be more than 10 minutes late, please reschedule. 

  • Food and drinks are not allowed in the Testing Center

  • Children are not allowed in the Testing Center

  • Cell phones and pagers must be turned off during testing

Online Testing Guidelines

Schedule at least 24 hours before the test date. Students taking placement tests online must have a personal computer with internet access; no mobile devices for placement testing.

A confirmation email from taylore@durhamtech.edu will be sent with further details and questions. Please respond the day before your scheduled test date (at the very latest) to secure your space for testing. Students who schedule less than 24 hours before the test date may not receive an email in time for the test and will have to reschedule.

ATI TEAS Testing Guidelines

ATI TEAS Testing is restricted to Durham Tech Nursing, Occupational Therapy Assistant, and Respiratory Therapy students.

Students must register and pay online 15 days prior to taking the test. View more information and remember to bring your email confirmation with your username and password to the testing location. Students must arrive on time in order to begin the test. Students who arrive late will not be allowed to start the test.

High Schools Testing Students at Durham Tech

High schools that plan to test students on Durham Tech’s campus must adhere to the following guidelines:

  • If you plan to test on your campus via Zoom, you must schedule at least two weeks in advance.
  • To reserve the entire Testing Center (maximum of 25 seats), you must submit your request at least 45 days in advance.
  • To arrange testing, please email the Testing Coordinator (taylore@durhamtech.edu) and include your college liaison on the message.
