Pharmacy Technician (Continuing Education)
Short Term
Topics include the study of drugs, quality assurance, order processing, pharmacy law, and the preparation of intravenous and other sterile products.
The curriculum has been evaluated and approved by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) as a PTCB-Recognized Education/Training Program. After successful completion of this course, students are eligible to take the national certification exam administered by the PTCB and earn the credential of Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
The required textbook is $70. Details for purchasing it will be shared on the first day of class.

PHM-3250C Pharmacy Technician
This course provides the knowledge and skills required to become a pharmacy technician. Pharmacy technicians work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist for the safe, accurate preparation and dispensing of medications in both hospital and community settings. Topics include: the study of drugs, quality assurance, order processing, pharmacy law, and the preparation of intravenous and other sterile products.
