2026 Durham Tech Student Art Exhibition

Durham Tech students are invited to submit original artworks to the 2026 Student Art Exhibition, sponsored by Viva the Arts!

  • 2026 Student Art Exhibition: April 8 - May 8, in the Library (5-217) and D. Thomas Jaynes Art Gallery (10-103)
  • Awards Reception: April 29 at 4 - 6 p.m., in the Thomas D. Jaynes Art Gallery

Awards

The exhibition will be juried by members of the Viva the Arts on Campus Committee and a guest juror. Award winners will receive cash prizes: 

  • 1st Place Award: $500
  • 2nd Place Award: $300
  • 3rd Place Award: $200
  • People's Choice Award: $200

How to Participate 

  • Participation in the 2026 Student Art Exhibition is open to any Durham Tech student enrolled during the 2025-2026 academic year.
  • Review guidelines and complete the 2026 Student Art Exhibition Form for each artwork you plan to submit.
  • Drop off artwork by April 2, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

Artwork Drop-off Locations and Times

  • Newton Building (Building 4), Room 124 or 118: Monday - Thursday, from 1 - 5 p.m.
  • Main Campus Library, ERC (Building 5): Monday - Thursday, 8 a.m. - 4.30 p.m.
