Nursing - RN to BSN

University Transfer Options

Students have two paths to a Bachelor of Science of Nursing (BSN). The Associate in Arts (AA) degree will transfer to all UNC System schools, most North Carolina independent colleges and universities, and most out of state institutions. In addition, the RN to BSN Uniform Articulation Agreement allows Registered Nurses to transfer the Associate of Applied Science in Nursing degree together with an Associate in General Education-Nursing (AGE-N) degree to most UNC System and NC independent colleges and universities for completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. A separate bilateral agreement allows for a similar transfer of credits to Western Governors University’s RN to BSN program.

The Associate in General Education - Nursing (AGE-Nursing)

The Associate in General Education (AGE) in Nursing is designed for students who wish to begin their studies toward the Associate in Nursing degree and a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing at a four-year college or university.

In order to be eligible, students must have entered a NC community college nursing program on or after Fall 2015 and earn an AAS with a GPA of at least 2.0 and a grade of C or better in all RN to BSN classes
