Culinary Arts
The Culinary Arts Associate in Applied Science (AAS) program prepares graduates to assume positions as trained culinary professionals in a variety of food service settings including full- service restaurants, hotels, resorts, clubs, catering operations, contract food service, and health care facilities.
Culinary Arts - Restaurant Management Certificate
The Culinary Arts Restaurant Management curriculum prepare students to assume restaurant management positions. Courses include sanitation/safety, nutrition, customer service, purchasing/cost control, and human resource management.
Information Technology - CyberSecurity CCNA Certificate
The CyberSecurity CCNA certificate prepares students for the networking security field as a network security technician, network administrator, or network security engineer.
Food Service Managers
Food Service Managers monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and garnishing and presentation of food to ensure that food is prepared and presented in an acceptable manner.
Cambiando Caminos
Cambiando Caminos (Changing Paths) is a student-led, educational advocacy organization dedicated to strengthening the identity and presence of Latino students at Durham Tech.
Final Draft Club
The club publishes The Final Draft Literary Journal, a compilation of poetry, artwork, essays, and short stories written and created by students, staff, and faculty which is published each spring.
